Hi Elijah!

Hi buddy!
Are you so proud of your mama that I showed up sooner than 1 month from the last post?  I am so proud of myself  :)

Let's see, what have we been up to....

We got in the car and Joey got a new carseat.  I started taking pictures and you said "Picture me...Picture me."  Everything is "me, me, me" with you lately!

We went to Elmo!  We picked up Jake and we saw Sesame Street Live.  You two are so funny together that it warms my heart. You were in the car screaming at each other "Eli" then "Jake."  You were walking together at the Qwest center and laughing.  It was a lot of fun to see you together.  We need to have Jake over to spend the night when Daddy is back in full strength.

You liked the Elmo show and you watched all of it!  You scored an Elmo light and a Sesame Street ball.  Afterwards, it was so nice out, we were able to play outside awhile.

We went to the Bounce house for a birthday party and you got to see Jake again!  You had a lot of fun but you were pretty rotten when we had to leave.  You screamed a ton!

We started gymnastics.  You were shy at first then you got into it.  You liked the bean bags and the climbing.  At the end, we all sat down and each child went into the center to do a baby bridge.  You could barely contain your excitement to be the center of the attention and when you got up there, you were all drama.  It so cracked me up!

You are talking so much.  Each day you make more sentences and more words.  I am shocked at how much you are saying and how you know what it means.  I got out of truck to go get gas and you told daddy "Mommy go get gas."  Mary said that the parents at daycare are surprised at how much you talk.  Yesterday, you told me I couldn't beat Joey.  I asked why and you said "Joey a baby."  You catch on pretty quick, smarty pants.

You cracked me up the other day.  You went to daddy's ankle and started giving it kisses.  Thankfully, it was all wrapped up but you are all about the kisses on owies.

Monday night, we went out to eat and you surprised me.  You were acting up and I had to chase you across the restaurant.  Very sternly, I said "Elijah, you will be good and sit in your seat or I will take you out to the car and give you a spanking."  OK, you don't even get spankings but it sounded good and you started acting good.  Apparently, as long as I occasionally carry through on my threats they work with you.

You still have some congestion and nose issues.  We are getting new medicine for you and Joey today.  I hate it when you two are sick.  But, you are getting lots of practice to learn how to blow your nose.

We are still working on the potty training.  You haven't been in diapers in a long time but we still have accidents at home.  I don't think you have had any at daycare so I think that points to mommy & daddy not being diligent.  But, you have been drinking a lot and going potty a lot.  Makes me a little nervous by the volume and we just don't think you need to go because you just went then you go again.  But, you have learned that you have to clean up your mess when you go.  I read that helps to train you so you will get a towel and clean it up now.  Just got to train you to tell us about 1 minute earlier that you have to go!

Well, buddy, I will leave you with some scrapbook pages and we are going to be off to gymnastics tonight!
