Hi buddy!
You were so funny on Wednesday night. We went to LaCasa for dinner - mommy needed a night off from cooking. When we were walking out, your daddy was carrying you facing forward. You were smiling and waving at all the customers on the way out. Kind of like his royal highness waving to his subjects! You ate good at LaCasa - ravioli, pizza, lasagna!
Today, I picked you up and you started saying "Bye" to all the daycare kids. I was shocked but I guess that you say that a lot to the kids at daycare. Heck, at home, I barely get a wave when you leave in the morning but your friends get an actual word out of your mouth - rotten child :) You played with Baby Jake & Auntie Val over Gramma's house then we went to dinner at Sortinos with Auntie Val and Gramma.
When we got home, we took a quick bath and I was taking your video just for fun. You are so silly in the tub. I love the part where you eat the rag, I say "ICK" and you turn to smile at me. You just think you are so cute that you can get away with anything if you smile at me. Half the time, it does work :)

Daycare pages
Hi Lijah!
You have been busy this week. You hung out with Gramma Debbie 2 days and Grampa Keith/Heather one day. Your social calendar is so full :) Once you get home, we are boring. Dinner, play, bed.
You know what one of my favorite things is? After I change your diaper, you will stand up and put your little hands on my face, smile and give me a big hug or kiss. I doubt most people would recognize these activities as hugs or kisses but, as your mommy, I know what they are. :)
I got some photos from Mary with you & your daycare friends. I finally got around to scrapping them for your book. I am 98% done with your book. Just have to do the cover and the opening page. Good thing to be caught up because when Joey comes, I probably won't have time to do any scrapping!!

Hi Buddy!
Not too much to share with you this week. Home a lot, you were crabby and you didn't sleep a lot. You have a sinus infection and it is really impacting your ability to sleep. You are taking short, short naps and you are going to bed really late. We finally took you to the doctor yesterday & you don't have an ear infection but she said that there is pressure on your ears from the sinus infection so you are probably in pain. All we can do is give you Tylenol to ward off the pain and antibiotics to clear up the infection. We missed swim lessons again because you weren't feeling good but we did get to see Auntie Becky & Uncle Steve in Lincoln. You wore Auntie Becky out - she was chasing you all over the house and walking with you all over the house. :)
One thing to share with you - when you lay on me, your brother just loves to kick up a storm. I always tell you "Elijah, your brother is saying 'Hi, big brother! Hi, Elijah!'"
We don't have big plans this upcoming week but hopefully, you will feel better soon and we can be back to normal with activities.
I have a scrapbook page to share with you - you were being a silly billy today with my glasses & you looked so cute. You were hamming it up and you were loving having my glasses on your face :)

Hey baby!
It has been a long week. You have been having a hard time sleeping then at the end of the week, you got sick - coughing, congestion, crabbiness. We ended up keeping you home from daycare on Friday because we were worried that you would not be good at daycare. You were in good spirits but you weren't yourself.
On Saturday, we went to lunch and had some time to kill so we went to the Zoo. You enjoyed the people more than you enjoyed the aquarium or jungle.
You were so worn out after the zoo & took a nap before you went to Brandi & Jeff's while mommy & daddy went out.
On Sunday, you were in big trouble Mister. You were taking daddy's soda and he said "Elijah, can I have my soda back?" You said "No" and turned your back on him. Uh-oh, we are screwed if you are lippy this early! You & Daddy hung out while I went out for awhile then we ran errands and had dinner. I got a new phone so I took this silly video of you & daddy being silly.

Even More Scrapbook pages
Hi baby!
We have been pretty boring. We have been doing a great job of eating at home and hanging out at home. Good on the checkbook but boring on the blog :)
I have a cute story for you. When you go up the stairs, I always so "Go, go, go." Now, you can say it too. You were going up the stairs tonight and started saying "Go, go, go" and I didn't even say it first! You are so funny.
Also, you were such a big boy tonight. You helped me unload the dishwasher. I was getting the dishes out and you came up and started handing me the silverware to put away. Granted, it was piece by piece and it took a bit longer but it is a good start to your earning your keep around here. :)
Well, buddy, not much else to share. We don't have a ton of things coming up to share either :)

More Scrapbook pages
Hi Buddy!
We had our swim lessons today & they didn't go quite as I expected. I haven't looked at the photos so I will have to get those for you later. You know how daddy said that you were acting like mommy at Chuck E Cheese and he was rolling his eyes? Well, today, you were acting like your daddy and your mommy was rolling her eyes. You cried as soon as we got in the water. You were clinging to me like you were going to drown. I think the water was a bit cold for you - by the end of the lesson, you were chattering your teeth. Overall, you did really good for your first time. You went under twice - and didn't scream. You took a few mouthfuls of water and didn't scream. You were on your back and on your tummy. Our instructor was proud at how well you did - even if Mommy was rolling her eyes at your drama :)
After lessons and nappy, you hung out with daddy for a LONG time. You guys went to the bowling alley to visit friends. Mommy relaxed and did scrapbook pages all afternoon/evening. It was AWESOME. But, you & I will hang out all day tomorrow when Daddy goes to the Chiefs game.
So, here are your recent scrapbook pages & I will add your swim lesson photos shorly.

Scrapbook Pages
Hi Elijah -
Now that I am in the 2nd trimester with your brother/sister, I have some mojo back. That first trimester just zaps me. So, I have a lot of scrapbook pages to share with you that I have been working on. In no particular order.....

Sure hope this lines up better in our book :)
Noticed I need to make a fix on this one - you shouldn't have stitches going down the front of your face, silly.
I love this one because I loved those movie things & feel so creative to use them on a non-movie page :)
I did this one 3 times - closed on accident once, lost on the hard drive when it crashed and now finally done again. :)
Tues - Thurs
Hey buddy!
We have had a lot of fun this week, you silly goose. We have had some frustration too. You are having some problems sleeping and it is taking a toll on mommy & daddy. On Thursday night, you did sleep all the way through so we got a bit of rest. Daddy's theory is that since we took your night time bottle away, you aren't getting full enough or a deep enough sleep because you wake up in the middle of the night. Last night, we gave you a bottle - you drank 1.5 of them and you slept through. Maybe removing you from formula at the same time as the bottle was too much so we will experiment!
Tuesday was stroganoff night and I learned my lesson - strip you down :) But, you weren't too messy. You hung out with daddy while mommy went to book club.
Wednesday we had dinner with Gramma Debi D and Mr. Pepsi at Rojas. You got a bit fussy at the end of the dinner. We are not sure when we will see them next. We are thinking maybe February to use our plane tickets and Gramma Debi D thinks she is coming back in April. When you got in the car, I saw that daddy had some pretzels in his back seat so I gave you one to see what you would do. You thought you were Harry Potter with his magic wand at first, then you enjoyed eating it. You really liked the pretzels. That is great because they are a low calorie treat and mommy wishes she liked the taste of them. You & daddy will have to share them with each other.
After dinner, it was time for some dessert and our favorite ice cream place had my favorite flavor - chocolate banana. YUMMY. You and daddy shared a malt. It was so darn cute to see. Daddy said it was the easiest way to do it because you are a malt grubber and you would drink it all if he didn't have his own straw. :)
Thursday was hanging out at home. We saw your baby brother/sister today at the doctor so we were asking you which one you wanted. You just laugh at us like we are so silly! You were in a good mood for most of the night but when it came time for sleep, you just weren't having any of that. Eventually, you calmed down and crashed. We all slept well.
We don't have huge plans for the weekend. I am trying to get us enrolled in swim lessons for tomorrow morning. Daddy is leaving us again to go to the Chiefs on Sunday. We will have to find something fun to do without him, huh? :) Maybe we will go to CocoKeys or something.

1/3/11
Hi Elijah,
Look, I say I am only going to post once and awhile and here I am a rockstar with 2 days in a row. After dinner tonight, I wanted ton try a new recipe. You were tired of crawling all around so I put you on the counter to "help" me. You loved licking the spatula, watching the mixer beat the mix, tasting the fruit and then really liked when I gave you the leftover cool whip! I can't explain why something so silly made me a bit emotional. I think because it is an activity that mommies and big kids do together. Seeing you lick the spatula and get all excited about the mixer was just fun for me. I can't wait for you to make all sorts of memories of us having cooking fun together!
After dinner and a bath, you read a book with daddy. I think it was the first time daddy ever read to you. I was so impressed because you sat still and listened and watched the pages. I texted this photo to Auntie Sue and she said it was because the book was in memory of Grampa Larry - it is a Cars book! It was really cool to see you and daddy reading together and you enjoying such a special book.

January 2 news
Hi Elijah!
Yesterday marked a big day. Your daddy was holding you & I said "give your mama a kiss." You leaned over and gave me a smooch that was not all open mouthed! Then, I said "give your daddy a kiss." You leaned over like you were going to give him a kiss just like me and then you licked him. Thank you for my dry kiss and for the laughter I had with daddy's kiss.
Today, we are home by ourselves while daddy is at the Chiefs game. You are just crawling all over and standing on everything. Every once and awhile, you will forget that you are not holding on to anything and stand on your own for a few seconds.
On the 2nd, you decided that you know how to blow raspberries. You were in the tub and just started doing it. It was funny - in the tub. I can't imagine I will think it is too funny when you are spitting all over my face :) You hung out with Gramma Debbie & Donnie this afternoon so maybe he taught you. I snapped this photo of you in the tub.
Happy New Years Baby and thanks for the New Years smoochie!
